All or Nothing Day: We're Going All In on Our UFOs
Share
July 26th is All or Nothing Day โ and honestly, it was made for us. ๐งต
All or Nothing Day is exactly what it sounds like: a day to stop sitting on the fence, stop putting things off, and go all in on whatever you've been hesitating about. No half measures. No "I'll start Monday." Today, you commit โ fully, boldly, and without apology.
And here at Sew Obsessed? We are taking this very seriously.
The Story of All or Nothing Day
All or Nothing Day was created to push people out of their comfort zones and into action. The idea is simple: pick the thing you've been avoiding, the goal you've been circling, the project gathering dust in the corner โ and go all in. No more excuses. No more "almost." Today is the day.
For quilters, this hits a little close to home. Because we all know what's lurking in that basket. That bin. That spare bedroom. The place where projects go when life gets busy and good intentions meet reality.
We're talking, of course, about the UFOs.
UFOs: Unfinished Fabric Objects (You Know the Ones)
Every quilter has them. The half-pieced quilt top from 2019. The jelly roll you cut into strips and then... life happened. The blocks that are all sewn but somehow never made it into rows. The backing fabric that's been folded on the shelf waiting patiently for its moment.
UFOs are not failures. They are quilts in progress. They are proof that you started something beautiful, and today โ All or Nothing Day โ is the day we finish what we started.
How Sew Obsessed Is Going All In
On July 26th, we're dedicating the day to sewing, piecing, and UFO-busting. Here's our plan โ and we invite you to join us:
- ๐งต Pull out your UFO pile. All of it. Lay it out. Count it. Own it. (No judgment โ we have many.)
- โ๏ธ Pick ONE project to finish today. Just one. All or nothing means all your focus goes to that one quilt.
- ๐ซ Press, piece, and push through. Chain piece those blocks. Sew those rows together. Get that top done.
- ๐ธ Share your progress. Tag us on Instagram with #SewObsessedUFO so we can cheer you on in real time.
- ๐ Celebrate the finish. Even if it's just the top. Even if it still needs quilting and binding. A finished top is a victory and we will celebrate it like one.
Need a Little Motivation?
Sometimes a UFO stalls because you're missing a piece โ a few more strips, a coordinating fabric for the border, the perfect backing. Browse our fabric collection and our precuts to find exactly what you need to get that project over the finish line.
Because today is not the day for "almost finished." Today is All or Nothing Day, and we are going ALL IN.
